Join Dave on this unique adventure, exploring Shark Bay, Francois Peron National Park, staying at Murchinson and Wooramel Stations. 

Redtrack Eco Adventure Tours have been invited onto private tracks of the Murchinson, and Wooramel Stations, camping on remote, spectacular, landscapes. This is truly a unique experience to get away from the crowds.

ITINERARY IN BRIEF :-

1st Day.  Murchison House Station Stay 

2nd Day. Eagle Bluff Campsite, Shark Bay

3rd Day. Herald Bight or Bottle Bay in Francois Peron National Park

4th Day. Herald Bight or Bottle Bay in Francois Peron National Park

5th Day. Visit Hamelin Station and camp at Wooramel Station

6th Day. Murchinson House Station, camped on the Murchinson River

7th Day. Return Perth 

Station Stays approx $20 per night

Things to see and do.

  • Practice your 4WD skills and learn how to use the correct equipment to drive on beaches and river beds
  • Drive along remote outback tracks
  • Dive into a water hole in the nearby river for a swim
  • Here is your chance to catch a fish off a remote beach. Cook it up the same night whilst fresh over our campfire to share amongst our fellow campers.
  • Meet our hard working Station Stay Hosts.
  • Take the opportunity to look at the custom work on each others vehicles or campers to see what your fellow campers have done to make camping all that much easier.
  • Feel free to join in Happy Hour 5pm around our communal campfire with a drink in your hand whilst we watch the sunset

On payment of the 25% deposit receive a fully comprehensive INFORMATION PACKAGE to help you get organized for this Adventure Camping Tour. This has been put together with over 40 years experience and will include the following via a Google shared link, emailed to you.

  • Itinerary and tour description
  • Camping Information and Checklist sheet to tick off
  • Summary of Hired Equipment sheet to tick off
  • Participant Medical History sheet to complete
  • Information on how to apply for a National Park Pass online
  • Sheet with all the names of the participants, their mobile phone numbers, and Convoy Position

  • Maps of the local area and National parks

ITINERARY

  • Day 1 Murchinson House station. Army camp on the banks of the Murchinson River
  • Day 2 Stop at Shell Beach and Eagle Bluff Lookout. Camp at Eagle bluff.
  • Day 3 Monkey Mia to watch the dolphins, 12 noon Group Booking at Ocean Park Aquarium. Campsite at Big Lagoon or Herald Bight.
  • Day 4 4WD to Cape Peron, (lookout or walk on beach), walk-Skip Jack Point Lookout, Bottle Bay (if wind permits) fishing. Campsite Big Lagoon or Herald Bight. 4WDrive up to the ridge along the beach. Communal Pizza Night.
  • Day 5 Checkout Hamelin Station and Gladstone . Camp at Wooramel Station $20/night/person. Set campers up then jump into Hot Spring Tubs, with drinks. Communal campfire.
  • Day 6Murchison House Station Stay. Army Camp on the banks of the Murchinson River $15/night/person. 
  • Options include visiting the Skywalk at Kalbarri NP, overlooking the Murchunson River.
  • Day 7 – Return to PERTH

 

Do you want to be a Passenger in Dave’s New 4WD 200 series Landcruiser?

What it means to be a passenger in Dave’s 200 series Landcruiser whilst on Tour:   

  • Provide comfortable seating with easy views of the surrounding landscape whilst on route.

  • Your Tour leader is with you most of the time to offer help and provide answer to questions whilst on route. Oh! And good humour!

  • Help you with setting up your quick/easy touring tent/mattress when making camp and packing away when departing. See picture below.

  • Cold drinking water and medical kit readily available.

  • Make all camping equipment readily available to you on arrival at campsite -
     - Popup toilet/shower tent
     - Mobile Kitchen, Cooker, fridge, Esky, lighting, water, utensils.

  • Passenger responsible for their own bedding, food, and cooking. However, communal cooking on a few occassions is the way to GO!

  • Passenger’s luggage size not to exceed “the same size as carry on luggage to a airplane” and your food a similar size. To be dropped off to Dave well before the day of departure.

  • Passenger NOT responsible for navigation, car maintenance, or fueling up.

Campsite and National Park fees not included.

Station campsite fees are approx. $20/night/person.

Hire Camper Trailers are available to passengers and can be towed behind Dave's 4WD. Normal hire camper rates apply.

Please note: To ensure the tour proceeds as planned, we require at least 6 car bookings to be made at least 60 days before the scheduled departure date. Therefore, we highly recommend making your bookings as soon as possible if you’re interested!
